Ridgid - put a Saito 1.00 on it and be happy. Sound can be improved by use of a 3 blade prop. The thrust will be down froma 2 blade, but the engine develops more than enough power. I suggest a 13x10 3 blade for that warbird and engine. A simple, cheap, check-valve between the tank and engine should prevent back-surge when doing snappy maneuvers. I am putting one on my plane just for this reason. Rather violent tumbling will sometimes rob the engine of fuel - same as on most other non-pumped engines.

Re: 4 stroke?

This hobby is full of compromises...you have to choose the combination that does what you want (at a cost that you can afford) and learn to live with a few things sticking in the wind... I have a surpass 91 in mine, and it is realistically powered (nothing worse than a warbird screaming by at 750 mph!)
In the past, I have put bigger props on and lugged the engine down to a lower RPM...some engines will do this happily, others will not. The pic below shows my next experiment...I haven't run it yet, and would be surprised if it developed enough thrust to fly, but it would be neat if it did........

Re: 4 stroke?

Are you sure the RCV engine won't fit, here are the spec's. 90SP Series Dimensions
I think with this configuration you will have plenty of room to route the exhaust with the (noted above) extensions for a scale look. I chose one for my Corsair for the same reason and don't have to make any gaping holes in the cowl. note B R38mm is the radius for clearance.
I hope I could help.
