Re: RCGF engines

I just got one last week. I have not ran it yet, but it looks nice, is fairly light and a good price. Henry from zrcgf.com has been very quick to answer all of my questions, and has been great to deal with. I am mounting it in a RCGuys Decathlon, and I will hopefully have it running, and flying by the weekend. I will add an update once I have ran it. I hope this helps.

Re: RCGF engines

Hey All
I am the North American distributor for the RCGF Engine.

Some history about RCGF. They started designing and producing engines in 2002. Over the years they have refined their designs - from industrial type engines converted to aero, to specifically designed aero engines, like the ones we carry now.

They are a major supplier of drone and UAV engines to the Chinese military. RCGF is a major player in the Asian marketplace.

In Asia and Europe these engines are incredibly popular, because of price, quality, and their linear power curves and thrusts, and their popularity is gaining enthusiasts in the US. In Canada, we have sold less than 100 engines so far but acceptance of the brand is not far behind.

Over the year that I have been involved with RCGF and along with the other distributors, we have had a large amount of input into design elements that now make up the the current engine line. It truly is a global engine. Though made in China, the designs have elements from Canada, Australia, Naimibia, Europe and the USA. The results have exceeded our expectations. The factory does listen to us. In fact, all the distributors regularly talk with each other offering support to each other as well as customer around the world.

The most important element for me as a distributor is that RCGF is the manufacturer of the engines, whereas many of the other 2 stroke gas engine lines are sold through trading companies. We have direct access to the engineers and those that manufacture the engines. Check out our manuals on-line. They are written in English with words that make sense.

The goal of the RCGF factory is to become the largest supplier of aero 2 stroke gas engines for giant scale models. Their current product line has the widest selection of engines available anywhere in the world too.

The reviews of the engines from users are incredibly positive, and this is what is driving the sales of the engines in North America.

Oh....Here is some interesting news.. KMP (Kondor Model Products www.kmp.ca ) has an incredible line up of high quality aircraft - they are one of our major dealers for the engines - and we are both Canadian firms!

Best to all

Re: RCGF engines

Dont buy it from KMP unless you want to wait Months on end waiting for it to show up. Best to go right to the supplier. I bought the 20cc RCGF motor from KMP and thats what happened to me. They also told me they were having a costom Pitts muffler made for that engine. 9 months later and no word on it. I finnally canceled the order. Have to go back and check the books, but im sure I paid for that advance and they say I didnt. Might aswell mention the Air retracts that took oh...only 6 months to arrive!

KMP's service SUCKS!

Buyer beware of KMP
