Rotted brass tubing?

See the attached image. Anyone know what happened? I don't recall seeing tubing split like this in my 20yrs in the hobby. I think it was a new tank when I built the plane a few years ago. Fuel I use is 10 or 15% omega. Found this when I opened up the tank looking for where the air bubbles were getting into the line. Had been flying the plane recently with no problems.

Re: Rotted brass tubing?

I have seen it a few times. It might be the nitro that eats the brass but that is only a guess.

The photo tells me that your stopper has been in the tank several years and needs replacing. They can come loose and leak if they aren't checked for a lenghty period of time.
