I got proof of that last evening:

In June 2004 I snagged a Phoenix Cap 232 ARF at the monthly club Raffle. ( )
Then in March 2007 I got my Hanger 9 Mustang the same way. ( )
Last night I attended the end of season dinner with one of my new clubs (Bay of Quinte Aeromoddlers) and bought tickets on the raffle, in which there were many prizes up for grabs. Last ticket drawn, and I was the lucky one to take home a MidWest AeroStar 60 donated by a fellow club member, and mounted in it was an OS .60 donated by another member. Beautifully built and covered, I expect it to be a joy to fly.

However, I think I've used up all my luck, and it's got to be someone else's turn now.

Re: Things DO come in threes!

Wow, we're going to rename you "Lucky Dave!" Good for you!

I bought a raffel ticket at a fun fly a few years back on a CG Super Chipmunk. The fellow selling the tickets handed me my ticket and said,: If you win this new kit, when you build it, can I have your old one?" To which I laughed and said, "Sure, why not. I won't need 2 for sure!"

Guess what? I won the kit! The next week I gave him my old one as promised. He didn't want to take it as he said he was just joking but a deal is a deal! Really the only time I ever won anything! Its a great feeling.

Now Dave, all you gotta do is find the time to fly all those planes!
