Tomorrow is the 11th, the day I'm to remember my friends.

I have a secret to tell you: I wasn't around in World War II. I came around much later.

God Bless those young men, who paved the way for me to live in freedom. God Bless you. I Love you all.

I've spent most of my money and time on model airplanes, mean women, and beer. All the rest was just a waste.

My very early years were spent hiding in air raid shelters. Fortunately I survived. As I grew up I was made aware of who I owed this good fortune to.

Unfortunately, humanity still has not learned the lesson.

It seems every generation has to learn it's own lessons. Like a Sticker I saw years ago said "Ve get too soon oldt unt too late schmart." Sad but somehow, true.

Re: GOD Bless

many of us were too young to remember or even be around for WWII, but November 11th is to remember all veterans, starting with the First World War, and all veterans, WW2, Korea, and all the peace keeping missions.

I have seen bumper stickers that read "love freedom? Thank a Veteran!"

Likewise. Just as well, as it happened.

My sentiments too

Re: GOD Bless

I meant to post this yesterday, I ashamed to say i got really busy and forgot.

I'm 40 years old, i have never known war, never had to live through a national crisis as others had lived through during WWI, WWII or the Korean War. My life has been safe, secure and relatively (by North American standards) prosperous. My children or my family or myself do not have to worry about being shelled or blown up or sprayed with machine gun fire in our daily lives.

For all this, I wish to thank ALL veterans, past, present and future. WE, Canadian citizens owe you more than we can ever repay. Thank you for all your sacrifices.
