I am with you on that Ron. I know that Gerry and Laurie <sp> the Sylvestre brothers built and flew ( or maybe still fly ) the DV8Rs. Gerry offered to buy my Elan at the last Princeton jet rally but I declined. I think he may have since got one though. BTW I lost another 8411 servo this weekend while flying my big Yak ( amp blew I think). Time to look at other options. Have heard great things about the new Hitec 7955S titaniums. I ordered a couple to try out !

Its no longer a hobby after 40 years....gulp!

Re: New to Turbines

I think the AD Phoenix would make one awesome turbine trainer - and after you get the hang of it makes a super sport jet you can fly pretty much anywhere. All phases of flight are very good - its an easy bird to control and flies true and without any bad tendencies. It is much more aerobatic and versatile than the trainers I started with (Mick Reeves Super Reaper and PCM Models AV8R) and I think today if I had started with one it would have been a lot easier in many ways.

Have never flown a Boomer but have seen enough of them flying to want one

if its got a wing or two and an engine - I like it!

Actually, by the time you pay the shippping and exchange, Angus's jet is about the same price. The Boomer Elans are a great flying plane. GO BUY IT!
