I know there is more and more of you guys switching to 123 batteries for your rx. packs.
I am in the market for a charger, what are you guys using and whats so good about it.
I do appreciate your input.

Re: a123

fromeco cube,
Can do up to 5 packs a123 or liion/lipo depending what configurations. It gives me a read out of what I have put back into the pack. It has worked great for me.

Re: a123

FMA Cellpro 10S

What I like about it

Charges Li Ion 4.1 and 4.2 volt cells
Charges LiPo 4.2 volt cells
Charges A 123 3.65 volt cells
Very accurate
Compensates for long leads
Can charge up to 10 cells at once
Charges up to 10 amps
Charges up to 2 - 5 cell packs simultaneously
Has storage mode
Cold weather charge mode
Has a low voltage charge feature for packs below 3 volts.
Sofware upgrades available on line from FMA
Gives lots of information about the cells as they are charging
Balance leads are reasonably priced
Comes with banana plugs and also aligator clips to connect to batteries
Programmable through optional USD connector and software
Can graph the cell charging on a computer screen

What I don't like

Can't discharge cells
Can't charge NiCad or NiMh cells.
You must use the balancer at all times when charging cells (unless they have a software fix for this).

Re: a123

Using a Triton with a "Dapter" which you can get from Thunderbolt RC or mine came from Sin City Jets in Vegas. The Dapter basically lets you use a NiCd or NiMH charger for A123 batteries. I don't worry about balance charging. I also have a Duratrax Ice that I can use with the Dapter. If I take the Dapter out of the circuit I can also use the Triton to discharge packs to determine residual mah. Of coure the Triton with Dapter also tells me how much (mah) I pump back into each pack when recharging.

I have an Ion Cube on the way but it is not cheap compared to the Dapter if you already have a good NiCd charger. However as Bryan points out the beauty of the Cube is that it can charge three A123's at the same time which is why I want it for my 35% Extra with three A123 packs - 2 receiver and one ignition.
