Re: LiPo or NiMH For 9303 JR Transmitter

I upgraded my 9303 tx battery to a 2500 NiMh on the recommendation of the JR service people. They even have a wall wart charger specifically for this battery. The setup works great. I can go 2-3 weeks with virtually no drop off in the tx voltage. They do not recommend Lipos for tx although some folks have done so successfully. Maybe they are just covering their butts but why muck around with possible warranty issues.

As long as you can assure yourself that you will never forget to turn the TX off, if you do you will be buying new LI Po's every time.
NiMh's no problem.
Don't ask how I know.
The only "stupid question" is the one you don't ask.

Re: LiPo or NiMH For 9303 JR Transmitter

I used to use a MaxAmps 2500 11.1 3s LiPo in my Futaba 3PK racing radio. I didn't even charge it when I received it and used it for two months and the voltage never dropped off.

If the pack in my DX7 ever needs replacing, I'll definitely do LiPo again, if I can find one that will give me the right voltage for the Spektrum.
