Gee, Frank, were you flying planes amongst the pterdactyls and around the dinosaurs? Sure looks like it.

Re: Digging through my cabinet and look what fell out

LOL! My lovely wife (Marian) calls me the biggest pack rat ever. That's how I end up with this stuff.
DB ... the engine kit is actually a Wall, 60 or bigger I think. Yep, I have a lathe but alas ... no milling attachment, that I can change though.
The Time Flies is a cool looking plane, the box is a bit scruffy but all is new inside, all the parts are there, even has some silk covering in the kit. Can't remember where I got the Buster. I was always after a Cox RR and eventually a fellow posted over on Mecoa looking for a pulse jet. Well I had a new pj, we made a deal and I got the Cox and a few others nice engines. He even gave me a Hurricane that had one of those little day planners in the bottom of the box, date on the planner was 1948, he logged only a few flights on it and signed it. Pretty cool. As you guys know I am looking for Canadian engines so I use this stuff I've collected for trades. I have a weak spot for the 1/2a engines. I like working on them so much more than the bigger engines. They're easier to take apart, clean up etc. Speaking of 1/2a there is a Canadian 049 that I cannot find. It's called a Canuck. Anyone heard of it or know where I can land one? It was made in the Avro Arrow plant late 40's early 50's?

'Time Flies' was the same breed as the Pesco Special and as the one sponsored, I think by Red Lion Gas, flown by the extrovert Roscoe Turner and his pet lion, Gilmore.
Time Flies was sponsored by GRUEN WATCHES, hence the name.
