Re: RCCanada Christmas 2008 Contest

You just know who's going to win the big prize right? Some lucky person who only makes a couple posts a year and who has only put in one post in this contest will be the big winner! Just watch and see!
Yup, you're right...statistically, it would be a post somewhere in the bell curve in the center of this thread...so last minute posts at the end of this thread don't stand a chance.....

So the draw takes place at noon on Saturday, thats tomorrow!

Ahhh this is RCCanada, but Canada itself is 6 1/2 time zones wide! Actually its 7 but Newfoundland is only 1/2 an hour's difference! SOOOOOO......

12:00 Noon Jason's time in Nova Scotia AND New Brunswick, & PEI

12:30 PM in Newfoundland

11:00 AM for most of Ontario & Quebec,

10:00 AM for the western 1/4 of Ontario and all of Manitoba,

9:00 AM for Saskatchewan,

8:00 AM for Alberta & the Northwest Territories

Nunavut shares time zones with Alberta Manitoba & Ontario/Quebec

7:00 AM in British Columbia

NEW YEARS is also interesting in this respect. When the new year begins in the East it will officially be 2009 but the rest of Canada will still be in 2008.

If you could stand near the border of the time zone say in Manitoba just across from Sask, when its the new year in Manitoba, you could walk across the border into Sask, and you'd go back in time to the previous year. Pretty cool eh??

Now, hows this for creativity eh???
