I just pick-up a Li-Poly SMART CHARGER 2030 .
Can I charge a 1800mah or 2200mah battery with this?
Manual does not show any info.
It has a 1200mah set, is the max battery I can charge?

Re: Li-Poly SMART CHARGER 2030 Question

I'm assuming your batteries are lipos.

1200 mah appears to be the maximum charge rate.

1800 and 2200 can be charged. it'll just take longer. in the case of the 2200, about two hours.

His reply: "you a dinosaur"

Re: Li-Poly SMART CHARGER 2030 Question

As he said.
from specs:
Working Voltage and Current
* In Put Voltage : 12V (10.5 ~ 15V)
* Out put voltage : 4.2V +- 1%.
* Selectable out put voltage : 3.7V(1Cell), 7.4V(2Cell), 11.1V(3Cell) - (Li-Poly Battery only.)
* Selectable Out Put Current : 110mA,250mA,500mA,750mA,1200mA.
It's the same for nicad and nimh chargers too. My Einstein can only go to 1400 mah I believe so my 2300 mah batts take about twice as long also.

Keep in mind some chargers may have a time limit (it will put out the 1200 ma for only 12 hours (for example) then shut down). You may have to re-start the cycle. Others may just keep going till it senses it's done. Check your manual.

In any case, it is of no concern to you. Just start charging sooner
