I have a box of used, well read, model airplane news,rc flyer, etc., magazines to give away. 2004 - older. Now I would like for these to go to someone who will do the same. Once finishes, pass them forward to other parties interested. Great reading for kids interested in the hobby, schools, etc. Lots of good reading and info. Don't ask for delivery, these are free to whom every picks them up from the Paris/Brantford area.
Gotta love a Cub ?!?!?

Re: magazines

NOt sure if you've thought of it, but just take it to the local club's next meeting and say "I'm not taking it home, it's yours. What's left over goes in the recycle bin."

Sounds wasteful but that's the sad fact. HOwever, you did get your enjoyment out of it, so don't get bent out of shape if no one else wants them.

I take my magazine collection (those that I'm not hanging on to because of the free plan or article that I want to hang on to) to the local swap meet and sell off bundles for $5.

Strangely enough, most of the buyers were people who were also selling magazines. Go figure.

Don't laugh, but at one point (about a decade ago), I had TWENTY SIX boxes of magazines (Flying Models, RCM, Model Airplane News) since the mid-Seventies. Advertised them on RCC I belive and a hobby shop/supplier Out West paid for them, plus shipping charges. Since then, I go no more than two years before I down-size my collection. Currently about twenty magazines in the keep pile with an equal number in the swap meet pile.

Re: magazines

People .. even modellers .. are gullible when they see a 'bargain'

Prior to my leaving the UK in '83 I took many boxes of magazines to a contest and set up a disposal table, which did great business.

The sign read "20 pence each, or four for one pound" You'd be surprised at how many people happily offered me a quid for four and were bemused at being referred back to the sign. It actually helped the disposal as most just picked up another magazine rather than take change.
