Im wondering if anybody knows if brantflyers still operates with two fields??I have been out to there new field many times and never find anyone there. There are signs posted and the field looks active but never anyone there.I know they had trouble with the current neighbours but I had thought they had a green light??
I fly there on occation with small electrics so i dont worry about the noise etc but it sure would be nice to have company and i have been flying in a a park nearby and dont know if my signal will reach them or not..I keep my plane close to me so i wont have trouble but i dont know about these other guys. thks

Re: brant flyers

So let me see if I understand this...

You are flying in a close enough proximity to a known RC field that you "fly close" to yourself so you don't have interference trouble (which is a joke, if you're that close to a field flying closer to you won't eliminate interference) and you're saying you don't know if your signal will interfere with them?

That's amazing to me that you would take that risk period! If you were 20 miles away or at least far enough you KNEW there wouldn't be a problem then fine, but if you are concerned, obviously you are close enough that you've thought about it, so you are knowingly putting your models, others models, and the safety of others at risk!?

I'm sure that MAAC must have info about the club, why not find out who to contact there and find out if you can join then just fly where it's safe!?

Re: brant flyers

The new field is closed until April. See for details. Please obey these restictions as failure to do so may cause loss of this field. Our next meeting is Jan 7 at the Burford public library at 7:30 pm. Please attend if possible.
