T have had some things given to me and the sender requested that if I no longer need it or int isn't suitable I should simply pass it on to someone else.

To me that in a reasonable request and I still have those few things I received.

Re: How many others feel this way!.

Selling and buying edicate, or the lack thereof, is another gripe that I sometimes have here. Proper conduct and edicate is spelled out for us in very simple terms. Jason very kindly provides this venue for us at no charge but only asks that a few very simple rules of edicate be followed! You post something for sale, someone makes an offer, its accepted and the item is marked "SOLD".

Yet there are so very many sale threads where the item is sold and yet never marked as such. Why is it so difficult for someone to go back into his thread, edit the origional post and click on the SOLD icon? Done!! But no, they got their cash and leave the thread unclosed. You spend time browzing through a posting, send a PM with an offer or asking questions, and never get a reply and some days later find out the items were sold. Then why not mark it sold????

In a current posting, a fellow is selling a number of items. He gets no bites for a couple of days, so he edits his posting ( see, he does know how to do it! ) and lists a reduced price and makes statements like "Make an offer!" or "Open to all offers!"

So you send in an offer and indicate in the thread that a PM was sent with offer on such and such an item and you wait! A couple of days pass and still no reply! You send out another PM again stating your offer and ask him to please reply. Still nothing. A few more days pass and you see a new reply way down in the bottom of the thread, perhaps on page 2 or 3 of the thread saying "All the items are gone!" Geez, what a waste of time!

What does it mean then when saying, "Make an offer" Or "Open to offers" when you never see a reply to an offer?? I just find it very frustrating at times the way some people conduct their business here! You could at least have the good sense to send a reply saying, "Sorry, the items have been sold" AND/OR marking the origional posting saying "SOLD"! Then folks won't browze through a dozen or more replys and/or pages of replys only to find it gone!

Its called "Good traider Edicate" or better still, plane ole simple "Good Manners!"

Thats it for me! Ranting over! Thanks!

Re: How many others feel this way!.

I knew a guy quite afew years ago who would buy one item, or everything from someone leaving the hobby, pick out what he needed for his aircrafts etc and sell the rest. He would use the money then to make more purchases. He thoughts were not to dip into family funds and see if he could support his hobby with the buying and selling. I accused him once that his real hobby was the buying and selling and flying was just the excuse.
