Question Nord Lock Products

So I have a question for you guys,

I had an idea to stop the loose prop problem, Nord Lock.

I came about the product on another project I was doing not hobby related, I thought it would be a great product for props so I ordered a set for my DA50.

These things realy hold the prop, tight and they DO NOT COME LOOSE.

Has anobody else thought of a product like this and would you use it or not and why?

Take a look at the website and let me know what you think.

Re: Nord Lock Products

I've purchased 3mm ones approx. 8 years ago for heli applications. Costly and not readily available then. More cost effective to use red loctite. They didn't "catch on". For props, could be THE answer. Ken

Re: Nord Lock Products

The only time I have had a loose bolt is when it is a wood prop. As the wood prop is new it take some compression for it to totally tightnen down. Over several flights and re-tightening, it seems to say put. The wood has to totally compress then it is considered tight.
Carbon props don't compress like the wood props and are not a serious problem.

I can't see the washers as a bad thing.

Re: Nord Lock Products

Good securing system; however, locktite or just some fuel proof paint do the same work. I like sometimes to buy similar stuff much better than beer or cigarettes
