Cannot speak for Gaston, but I didn't install any struts on my 20" Sbach, and so far, so good. It's very solid, no noticeable flex in the frame. Just the wheel braces seem to do the trick. In my case though, I've made the elevator brace as long as the elevator itself, and used a decent amount of tape on the elevator, so the whole area may be a bit stiffer because of that (The original Sbach had lot of flex in the tail area without braces.)

Thanks Real
You're right, there's no need for the struts but if someone wants to install them, the holes are left in place just in case. I'll be posting a video shortly off a new 23" Sbach, Ray, Steph and myself tested last night, even that one doesn't need wing struts.

Here's a video taken last night of the test flight for the new 23" Sbach, awesome performance for blue foam. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks, I'm 68 and always learning, yes as you will see I can do rolling circles, not as good as Ray, but still.
Thanks to Ray and Steph for your help

Re: Blue Foamie

Hi
I'll try to embed the video again.

Can someone tell me why I can watch the video when I preview but not after I submit the post.

I guess we can always do it this way.

Re: Blue Foamie

Ok, Ok, the 23" version seem to be a lot more tame! Truly an awesome video. And the fact that even this "larger" version doesn't need struts is truly great. Assembly is so fast. Great job! Very nice video guys!

Thanks Real

I was very happy with it's performance, most of the flights were done with the 360 mAh 2s batteries, even though it increased the AUW from 2.70oz with the 250 mAh to 3.05 oz with the Rhino 360's, it still performed very well.
We were using sub micro servos and Rx. Instead of 5g each servos, we ended up with 5.1 g for all 3 servos, the Rx is only 2 g.
