Re: Blue Foamie

And, many thanks to you Gaston. You certainly impressed all with your "Foamies".. and flyin.
By the way, our "Famous" Frank, is the SWZone director for MAAC.... Frank Klenk... Another great fellow, and test flyer for my creations....
Videos are being edited now and it looks like a video of roughly 15 minutes is in the making.
Again, many thanks for your support.... Looking forward to another BMO event, in the near future....
Tired Art...

I believe that is Charles Boekhorst on the right Gaston.

Thanks for the pics... it was a good night. I think the first time I'd seen your S-Bach's in action - cool plane! I appreciated your thoughts on the 2-Site. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it flew! Third iteration was the magic number .

Cheers,
J

Hi Jason
Charles is the big guy with the small plane, that's what he said himself....he called himself the biggest guy with the smallest plane and smiled..I wasn't going to argue with him...he's a pussycat and a super guy.
As far as your planes, I was mesmorized.

Re: Blue Foamie

Just for the kick, I installed a Eagle A3 3-axis gyro system into my small Sbach (19"). End result is only so-so... As I said, did that for the fun, since this airframe doesn't really need it, but it was really easy to install it, and since it's a twitchy airplane (that's what Gaston is saying, I truly love it as is myself), I thought it was a good airframe to test the hardware...

Well, I'll probably remove the board and try it in a heavier aircraft... But I thought you would like to see the end result...

What's nice is the fact that the airframe can now make beautiful flat turn with the rudder only. But otherwise, I'm not gaining anything else, so it's not worth the extra 8grams +heavy wiring. (Whole airplane now weight 72grams without battery). May give it a shot indoor before I pull it out though... See if I can fight the nasty HVAC systems... I only tried it in the wind, because I wanted to see if that system could be as good as the AS3X system from Horizon Hobby (found in lastest ultra-micros airplanes). So far, it's not... But at $30, it's still worth the money and truly fun to experiment with... May try it in my full size Blue Foamy soon too. I'm hoping the extra weight will damper the system a bit.

Hey all... I finally finished the video from the BMO event. Here are the two links/vids - Youtube split the video into two parts.

Note: once the video is started you can click on it and go to the Youtube page where you can view it full screen.

Part 1:
+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

Part 2:

ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

Hope you enjoy it. (Remember, I'm no videographer/producer, just doing my best ).
