There are classes with relatively easy maneuvers. Check this page:
http://xavier.mouraux.com/indoor/sequences.htm

During a contest, like in Pattern/F3A and Imac, you have a caller behind you to tell you the maneuvers. Even with that I sometime manage to do the wrong one

Re: Blue Foamie

Hi Xavier

Thanks for the information, I should be able to do the basic maneuvers, even with my blue foamie. I'll bring one with me just for the heck of it. It looks like a lot of fun and would certainly give me some objective.
See you there.

Re: Blue Foamie

I just modified my 23" Sbach, I made the parts by hand using a punch and an Exacto knife. I'll try it tomorrow at the gym and let you know if it worked.

Thanks Jason
I'm hoping to get some of our indoor flyers to join me in F3P practice. it gets boring just doing circuits. Many, are already showing interest, we'll see what happens tomorrow.

Once you try flying a few maneuvers in a row, you'll be hooked. It is so much more challenging and rewarding than just flying circles. Have fun.

Re: Blue Foamie

Hi Xavier
I think you nailed it, just about everyone got hooked yesterday at the gym. I stopped all flying for maybe one hour and most of us tried the basic/sportsman routine, one at a time. We had a great time, I don't think any of us were any good at it at first but after the regular flying resumed, I could see a noticeable improvement. I also noticed that it can't be done with a multitude of planes in the air at the same time, too many mid airs. We'll most likely do the same every weekend, it's such a blast, everyone seems to enjoy it.
Thanks for regenerating our enthusiasm..
