Not too many ventured out to the gym today, only five of us. Gaston was away for a short but deserved break with his better half. One of the new kids on the block (the Axis) was on hand along with a couple of other Foam Star Models by Gaston and an HK Piaget. Captain Crash was there trying not to live up to his moniker. Tom and Spencer discuss potential reasons for the motor not turning. AKA the Blind leading the Blind, I missed getting a shot of Steph and his Sbach 342 and there are no pics of the vast array of maneuvers performed as I tried to trim my Axis

Re: Blue Foamie

Hmmm that explains why Gaston did not answer his phone or emails!! Mike was out testing a new heli FBL system this afternoon as he pulled up to a field someone with a quad could be heard in the distance driving away from the club! By the time Mike got there the person and the quad was long gone!

But they managed to really do some damage to our landing strip by doing donuts on the field!

At 2:17 seconds into the video you can kinda see the damage! I think ill take a drive out there tommorow to see if they returned and to get some better pics!!

Re: Blue Foamie

Thanks for taking those pics Hugh, it's too bad we can't see those pre-planned maneuver.... I can just imagine...lol
I'll try to take some from Steph next Sunday, he has something special to show us, all I'm allowed to say is that it has something to do with Star Wars...
It's nice to see that Spencer and Tom were there.

Re: Blue Foamie

Hi Keith
I just came back from the field, thankfully there's only one doughnut made on the runway, there's also some damage done to the fence. I should have made a formal complaint to the cops last year when it happened the first time. It's is possible it was the same kids, that's what happens when you try to be nice.
I also had to put caution tape across our road, the ground is too soft for the time being. Thanks for keeping me informed Mike and Keith.

Re: Blue Foamie

More flyers this weekend at the gym. Pic #1 - Spencer and John flying with Sandra, Brendan, Kyle and Dwight in the background. #2 - Brendan instructing a first timer at the gym. A couple of hours on a simulator and within 30 min at the gym he was flying circuits. IMAC this summer? #3 - Tom ready to enjoy winter flying before the boredom of some time in Florida. #4 - Steph resting after emptying a few batteries. Pics are from my Blackberry due to no memory card in my camera because of a faulty memory card in me.

Re: Blue Foamie

Hi Hugh
Thanks again for posting these pics, I wish I could have joined you. I was very fortunate to make it to Montreal and be with my sister before she passed away Saturday morning.
I'm hoping to be at the gym next Sunday.

Re: Blue Foamie

Even though there was a snow storm the night before and freezing rain on Sunday, we managed to have 7 people at the gym. We had a great time flying and also practiced the F3P basic maneuvers, looks it will take me forever but I won't give up....

Re: Blue Foamie

I am glad you guys are having fun with the F3P.
Here is a good video of the Sportsman by Dave Lockhart. Don't worry if your doesn't look exactly the same. Dave has been flying aerobatic competition for many years.

Re: Blue Foamie

Thanks Xavier, it sure makes the indoor sessions more challenging. It's certainly not as easy as it looks on paper. Thanks for the video and have a Merry Christmas.
