Re: Blue Foamie

1st day for indoor flying has come and gone. October 4th was a cool day but nice enough that only four diehards came out. Using the time from 11 to noon for F3P and General flying from noon to 3.

Seems like it's always the same every year during the first few sessions, low turnout but that will soon change when the snow comes...

Re: Blue Foamie

Hi Ron, not sure where plans are for the Blue Foamy planes. Many of us fly the Arrow made by Foam Star Models from a thin foam (1/4 in or 7mm) with a thin plastic film on one side. The thin foam is not available in Canada. You can see the plane at www.foamstarmodels.com The electronics can be bought at many local hobby stores along with 2 cell Lipo's about 350mah. Assembly is easy with a small 10 watt hot glue gun.

Hi Hugh - not to mention that the Axis is also a great flyer, available from the same website. Just picked up a spare from Gaston back at the NOIC.

Indoor flying starting down here soon, I fly both the Arrow and Axis and have a ton of fun doing it. Not much activity yet but once the snow flies it picks up.

Re: Blue Foamie

Hi Bill, you are right that the Axis flies well also but it has been removed from the site. There was an accident with the backing pattern for the machine and I don't think he can cut the pattern anymore. Sad loss but perhaps a new one in the future.
