Hi

I prefer to show people on how to put them together at no cost, my goal is to get more people involved in flying foamies and improve their skills, I have no intention of starting a business. If someone can't come to a building seminar, they might give me $20.00 to put one together but as I said, I'd rather not do it but to get them involved, I never refuse to put one together.

I prefer that they order their own components but if they insist I order for them, they just give me enough money to cover shipping and warranty.

I'll be leaving Guelph around 3:00pm, I'll give you a call after I leave the university to arrange a meeting.

Re: Blue Foamie

Hey alright!

I recently built a FF replica Yak 55 out of blue foam. Andrew (yakityak) let me copy his template he used for his yak featured in the video posted here on this thread. I find the Yak to be more resposive it's "snappier" during aerobatics and 3D compared to the clik. On the other hand is not as precice at knife edge flight and drawing "strait lines"as the clik is . I think alot of that is due to the absence of the SFG's although there are other differences.
I decided to decorate the Yak like my Extreme Flight Yak 54 . Don't ask how long it took to colour the whole plane red.

I also tried Andrew's idea to use (I know its a bad word around here, but ill say it) DEPRON on the rudder and elevator. It seems to lighten up the tail and help to move the CG forward for better flight characteristics. I reccomend using "blenderm" tape for hinging as the clear packing tape does not stick to the depron that well.

well the clik is more of a pattern plane and the ff yak 55m is more of a freestyle, but the clik is definatly a looker

heres my latest 35"ws build, i've been working 15 minutes a day for 3 or 4 days.

If you order from the right places, the components shouldn't cost more than $100.00 plus $3.00 to $5.00 for the foam.
