^^ Only combustion engines do that reliably, since the prop stops once there's too much compression for the prop to overcome. Sometimes on brushed motors it will work(but there's three places it might stop then), but I find its luck if it happens.

Re: Blue Foamie

im not sure where i should exactly mount the engine but i really am aiming for speed so ill try to post some pics and get the weight of just the body what would be a good pitch in a smaller prop for spped with the engines we use for foamies

Re: Blue Foamie

Here's a short video I built to mill foamies, thanks to Dan and his son Daniel for helping me with the programming. For now I brought the weight down to 4oz. plus battery, it makes a huge difference in the flying characteristics.

I'd like to see that CNC, when you have a chance we'll go and see him.

Re: Blue Foamie

Not a problem .... It's the only one of its kind around here .... Very impressive machine. Wait till you see the vacume table on this one. It draws suction through a 1/2 inch sheet of particle core to clamp the material being cut. As a matter a fact Metal Air just finished reconditioning a dust collector for him. I'll call you when I get a chance.

Dan

Thanks for the beautiful video, you're right, it was too soon considering he was only 46 years old. He was one of the nicest people I have met, I learned a lot from him, I'll certainly miss him and so will many other modelers, I'm sure.

Re: Blue Foamie

Hi Gaston
Just came from lunch to-day with the boys and Wayne Quirt as well. We were discussing
your blue foamy. I am just getting into electric and wish I was in Sudbury to attend your
group building.

We cannot get the blue foam in North Bay and am wondering if and when I come to Sudbury or one of the guys comes would I be able to purchase the foam from you or
where I would be able to purchase the blue foam. I have a couple of foam plans I am
interested in as well.

Wayne said to say Hi.
Thanks Gaston
