Re: Blue Foamie

I just put together a foamy disc mayhem. I am going to post a review of it in a few days once I have some footage of it flying indoors.

Re: Blue Foamie

I was very interested in his new, still in testing stages, Micro Mahem.. In the meantime, I pulled out my EPP and found one that I had started drawing many years ago, so with a couple mods, like Cory has done, I am in the process of building this... I'm gonna try the 5gr outrunner on it first... Only 15" diameter wing, should be light enough for this power.
Also, gonna go the old RET way first... Too much weight to put on the elevon stuff, since I don't have one of those new fancy transmitters...
Hope Cory gets his testing done on the micro soon...

Re: Blue Foamie

I test flew both the blue foamy that I made and the Mayhem tonight. They both flew really well. The blue foamy flew a bit funny after the brace rods on one side pulled out after a hard landing and it caused unwanted aileron trim on one side when I pulled it hard around the corners but it kept going and going.

Re: Blue Foamie

I might make it if I happen to be heading that way for something else but 2.5 hours each way is a bit of a long haul.

We fly every friday night and the high school is 2 minutes from my house.

Re: Blue Foamie

Paul Ashley, Steph Morin, Hugh Harrison, John Pearson, Ray Rivet and myself had the pleasure of flying with the members of North Shore R/C modelers in Elliot Lake Wednesday evening. Following a short Blue Foamie seminar and a coffee at Tim Hortons, we headed to the gym, needless to say, they were impressed, not as much by our flying but more on how quickly we could get back in the air following a short visit at the hot glue station
I would like to thank the pilots who made the trip and the menmbers from Elliot Lake for having made this, an evening to remember.

Here are a few pics from our trip.

Re: Blue Foamie

I'd like to thank Dennis Pratt for sending me one of his creation, the Indoor Edge, we had a chance to fly it today and it performed flawlessly, it does all the aerobatics that we coud possibly think of, including Ray's rolling circles.
I like the simplicity of construction and the ruggedness of the blue foam.

Well done Dennis
