Well I'm almost done, time to set it aside to watch Sunday night football, all I got to say is everything fits together like a glove, very easy to assemble, I'm excited!!!
Hey Gaston those control horns are real neat, what a fantastic idea!
Will post some pics later.

I found those to be the most economical and most important, the lightest, they are also easy to adjust.

Re: Blue Foamie

It was another exciting afternoon at the gym, quite a few people showed up, most of the foamies were the milled Yak 55, there were also 300's, Click's and Bugs.

Hi Art

I just sent you a pm on the glue gun, just in case someone else is interested, I use a CTC brand (Mastercraft) which has two settings, 10 and 15 watts, set it to 10 watt, otherwise you"ll melt the foam, the part no. is 54-0145-8
Be careful with them, don't leave them unattended, I had one that almost caught fire on me and I know of another guy, maybe I'll mention it to CTC.

As far a picture, I'll see what I can do...

Re: Blue Foamie

Art

You can see me for a moment at the beginning of this older video, all I could do is hang around, I'm flying the one with the green stripes, that's one of the earlier blue foamies, I'm thinking of downsizing and milling that one too someday. My flying has improved somewhat since then..., thanks to the indoor flying and those tough blue foamies.

Re: Blue Foamie

Here's some final pics of mine. One stupid thing I did when building mine was I put the control horns on the bottom of the elevator and ailerons before i noticed they are supposed to go on top, what a dumba$%! Oh well, other than that it weighs 4.5Oz's with battery. I'm impressed.

On thing I noticed on another one I saw on this forum, was that it had a lot more CF trusses added, is that really necessary?

Hi Art

Rudder control is needed constanlly on a foamie indoors, at times the ailerons will become totally ineffictive due to the slow speed of the foamies, regardless of the make, you have to be able to use rudder also.
You'll get the hang of it, just fly slow, even if you have to keep the nose up a little. They will take a beating but there's a limit.

Good luck.
