What a FANTASTIC build! Ya, I'm at it, slow but sure.....
Nice cutting, easy fit of all parts and very pleasing to the eye, and glue gun...
Motor?.... Well, going through my "Motor" drawer, I came across a 10 grm motor, an 1811-20, rated at 2000KV, 50Watt.... Recommended prop on a two cell is 7/3.5 SF of whiich I have a few...... 10 Amp ESC, again, got lots of these, so, am gonna give this setup a try first... Recommended for models in the 3 to 7oz range... So far, I'm not over 4 oz so, it should haul it.....
Markings? I used the Craft paint, Acrylic water base, and did a (lousey) job of doing wing and stab markings, but what the heck, had to have something different.. Didn't add any weight to speak of, after the water evaporated...
Has anybody else tried a motor of this range yet??
Hey Gaston, n Ray, you guys have got a real winner here..... Spreading the word around our club members, LOUDLY!

Looks good Art, the small motor you're planning on using might not give you
3D performance but could be fine for flying around and have fun, let us know how it performs, it's certainly lighter.

Hey Gaston!

Joyeux Noel, mon ami!!

I received my Yak today. Nice little rig!

I can't wait to get it together!

Once my club gets an indoor venue I'm sure that a lot of our guys will be ordering one from you.

Regards,

Dennis

Re: Blue Foamie

Sorry I'm a little late, we had less pilots but due to the holidays, around 15 were at the gym and as usual having a blast.

From left to right:

Alan with his 4 Site flies very well, (the pilot also), Gisel with her new milled Yak, she promises to decorate, she's doing very good at hovers, Dan with his nicely decorated milled YAK.

Re: Blue Foamie

Good show for the holidays Gaston. I had a couple more flights with mine today at a family gathering, I lucked out because the family gathering was at a local school so off the the gym I went. I love my YAK!

Glad you received it ok, awesome. As far as a place to fly, just come and visit us on a Sunday afternoon, you can even come on Saturday and stay at my place, then we'll fly on Sunday.
We, sometimes go out of town ourselves to fly as you probably know.
By the way, we're going to the Soo on Jan 8, they don't know yet, it'll be a surprise.

Re: Blue Foamie

I have one of the milled yak55 all painted and framed up. I am just waiting on some servos. Right now with the airframe and 1 servo, the weight is 58g. Once it is all together I will take more pictures.
Thanks Gaston
