Ouch, that's way to much motor for this thing. your motor weighs 39 grams. The others are running 14-19g motors. I'm afraid you will fold the plane up with that big of a motor. See if you can find a better alternative.

Re: Blue Foamie

You're right Bryan, try to get closer to the 2204-14 which is 19g or for the time being, I think you should stick with the 10g, I know it'll fly very well with it, Hugh and myself tested it.

Re: Blue Foamie

Hi foamball
Gaston and I flew my milled yak foamie using a 10 gram motor from Hobby King. We tried both the 8043 GWS SF prop and a 7X4 Hobby King SF prop. The response was better with the 7X4 but the 8043 GWS also worked. It flew well and would roll and loop with the 7X4 but it would not quite hover. We were using a Rhino 360Mah battery from Hobby King also. It was quite enjoyable to fly with the 10 gram as some of the other motors tend to make it a rocket.

Re: Blue Foamie

Bryan, Gaston, Hugh, advice taken, have changed back to the 10gr motor, with the 7/3.5 prop... I figured the E-Max was too much also, so will await the Turnigy 2204 as suggested in the first place, but in the meantime, the 10 will give me an idea..
After getting it all changed over yesterday, I tested the pull and it scared the bejeepers outta me......
Thanks guys, will report, along with Bryans and Johnathons findings next week...

Re: Blue Foamie

Some pics from today, what a great time we had. Lots of flights w/ the milled yaks! The extra hour was certainly nice to have also. Of course we had the vapours out too with some little competition also.

Hi Jonathan

Thanks for sharing those pics with us, they're great, I'm happy to see that you guys had a good time and the foamies still look like new...

Re: Blue Foamie

Once again, we had a wonderful afternoon of indoor flying at the gym. We were pleased to welcome Nancy and watch her fly her small helicopter.

Here are a few pics taken this afternoon.
