Thought I'd pipe in. Though I can't help with the dust, a mask works well for that. WE have a product called Super Phatic, it is odourless, no fumes, no vapours, doesn't bond to skin. It acts like CA, in that it is very thin, and wicks into the wood and penetrates deep even into ply or hardwood. About the only drawback to it is it's not as fast. It takes 20 minutes to set up, after which you can move your part around if needbe, it reaches full strength in 2 hours. You can check it out and other products on our website.

Re: Man this Sucks!!!!

Dave, you're right -- that does suck the big one. However, it's better than the alternative -- your ever-loving wife having to hold an estate auction of your hobby stuff.

Use the time to peruse the magazines, look around at what you can do that doesn't involve volatiles (eg, indoor electric rtf's, etc.), watch movies, read, have lots of heart-thumping you-know-what with your wife (doctor may shoot that down because of your weak lungs.)

Bit of revenge -- you can get her to stop using Fabreeze room deoderizers..... That stuff makes my sinuses shut down and I still smell it an hour later. (I thought that CA had odours until my wife did two squirts of Fabreeze in the downstairs bathroom....)

Get much better real soon, y'hear?

Re: Man this Sucks!!!!

Shoot, forgot to check where you live and have another suggestion: Air Combat Zone!

F-18 flight simulators. Downside is that 2 90-minute sessions = 1 kit.

Don't laugh but I just got a 90-minute session for me and my 16-year-old granddaughter. She wants to be a test pilot AND an aircraft designer.

Well that makes three grand-daughters who've not chosen the easy path in life and went to college for her MRS degree..... materials engineer (blast furnace operations), police officer, and now jet-jock. Got four more grand-kids tramping down the teenager line and can't wait to see what they take up with (though one of the boys does worry me -- he's got longer hair than his sisters and is a pretty-boy .... plays elite hockey so can't worry too much.)

Coro and Gorilla Glue, that's the way to go!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Re: Man this Sucks!!!!

Hi Dave,

Get well soon. I'm sure you will.

My epoxy/polyester alergy/sensitivity eventually became pneumonia until my Doctor figured it out.

I would love to still vac-bag epoxy laminates...

I'm limiting myself to 'less volitile' glues, as mentioned previously. And still building.

Do not forget any glues used permeate the household/shop.

I'm almost paranoid about using CA.

Get well soon, Dave...

Take care,
Have fun,
