I got the Futaba 10 CAP 2.4 fast system. I fly a 40% Extra with a 32" Carbon Fiber Prop. No Problems at All. I also fly the T-Rex 450 27.5" Carbon Fiber Blades, T-Rex 500 ele. 38" dia. Carbon Fiber Blades & T-Rex 600 nitro 53" Carbon Fiber Blades and don't forget the frame is Carbon Fiber tail roter carbon fiber blades. Also everything is close together, No Problems at All.

I was thinking of getting a new DX6 because it is pretty cheap with good mixing options. I have a hitec 4 channel that should do the job nicely but without fancy mixing.

Re: 2.4 Ghz Vs carbon fiber

Here is a link to a thread at RCgroups I have posted in about my 2.4Ghz install in my Pulsar 3200 (all carbon fuse).

Also, here is a link to a person who has written a great document about different tests with 2.4G radios and carbon fuselages. Its very good reading and answers many questions.
