Hey marco,

E-conversions can be done very very chealply these days, especially with the advent of Hobby City in China. I've placed several orders through them now, usually arrives within a week, and prices are amazing....

$40 fora .50 sized motor
$35 for an 80 Amp ESC
$60 for 5 cell Lipo
$40 bucks for a pretty good charger

We're talking around $200 for a good setup for a .40-.50 sized conversion. I use these components and they are rock solid!! No issues. I've had more high-end ESC's (ie/Castle Creations, etc...) fry on me over the years.

Going back to Aceplant00 and the Art Scholl Chipmunk covered in foam and hard plastic. I am shocked to see those planes still around. I had one probably 20 years ago and it was one of the few planes that I "retired with dignity". In other words, it did not crash, I just got tired of flying it. I think the company that sold them was called "EE-ZZ- Build" or something like that. All I know is that it was one great flyer! Get an engine in it and start flying - you will like it. The only negative is the covering. Hard, if not impossible to repair. Marco2236 - I hope your new plane works out but you may be sorry you sold your Chipmunk.

The world models super chipmunk .60 size is an exact clone of the goldberg chippy. I've had the kit and the ARF. I bought the arf from peak-models about 3 years ago. Paid less that $250CAD shipped to my door. I see they've jacked up the price since then. Awesome plane tho!!
