I paint exclusively wit latex and I prefer a "dead-flat" clearcoat finish for realism. I have found that Nelson's Hobby Specialties flat clearcoat with the cross-linkrer is the only real flat clear on the market that is fuelproof. I found that all the other so-called "flat" and "satins" are much too glossy for my liking. The Nelson clears are not easy to apply and sometimes I need to add Floetroll or thin with windshield washer fluid to get it to apply properly but in the end the result is excellent. I would never use a spraybomb have NO control of the spray at all.

No problems with gas.

when applying use a light a coat to begin with and just keep applying light coats. It may look crappy to begin with but when it cures it's fine.
