Not sure how Futaba radio's set the gyro modes.

For my JR radio the setting is as follows:
0 to 50 is rate mode with 0 being maximum.
50 to 100 is HH mode with 100 being strongest.

You may need to flip your setting to an opposite number. If it was 20 (rate), change it to 80 for similar holding in HH.

Originally I put an S3154 on a Blade 400. Flew it for about 50 to 60 flights. It seemed to work well. I then got a 9257 and mounted it on the boom.

The reason I wanted the larger servo on the boom is, when you need to adjust your belt tension the stock servo and the 3154 are mounted to the frame and the servo pushrod gets displaced. With a boom mount the pushrod is not affected as you slide the tail boom in or out..

A friend of mine who also has a Blade 400 also used a 3154. After about 8 flights it failed and a puff of smoke came from it. Luckily this happened while on the ground spooling up for another flight.

I then gave him mine since I didn't need it anymore. And for some reason that one toasted too. He had an all stock setup, clearly it was a problem with the voltage output of the stock ESC. More than 4.8volts, the 3154 will fail.

Personally, I would not recommend it. But if you so choose to use it be sure to test your voltage to the servo. Even then I think it's a gamble. There are more reliable servos you could use.

Re: gyro 401

i fixed the problem with my gyro not going into HH mode.
I will post my solution just in case somebody out there encounter similar problem.
I followed this link on my initial set up it worked great, however on one part of the step, it says to change the switch to switch B there is another step that has to be done.
On 9C the default for gyro sensor is chan. 5 i think common to all radio, and the the switch is either G or F one of this anyway. i got to this part and that's where my problem occurred, you have to go the Aux. mode and change the switch mapping, change the chan.5 from G to B. this is what i found my solution was, for me any way.
