Google Clancy Aviation. Lazy Bee , Speedy bee These are both favorites of mine ,the Speedy bee is a real fun plane to fly and can land it on a dime

Re: .15 sport

If you can build and find a set of plans either the Bee or Speedy Bee could be built (fuse and Wings) for around $20.I buy sheets of balsa and run them down on my table saw to make the wood strips required. You get quite a few strips from a 3"or 4" sheet and have a 1" piece left for other places.(I don't like getting fingers any closer than that to the saw blade)

Re: .15 sport

I used to have a Sig Wonder. It was a hoot, a very easy flier that went fast or slow. We used to tie on streamers and do combat a bit. A lot of fun.

Re: .15 sport

Thanx for all the suggestions guys. The extra and the wonder seem a little too quick for me right now. Haven't flown anything in a couple of years. Hopefully this summer my schedule will allow me some quality air time. Thanx again..

Re: .15 sport

Hi chuck zc,

A whole bunch of us in the Toronto area are flying .15 'One Design' R/C Combat with a really great design called the 'Caution'.
Designed by Richard'SilverFox'. (the Links are somewhere in the back pages of the Combat forum here on RCC...moo! I need computer help ! )
I really like mine. They are kind of like a 40in. span UglyStick/Quickie500. A very nice semi-kit that is easy building and a very nice 'allweather' flyer. My only regret is that I did not add a mini servo rudder control. Lazer cut balsa fuse and a computer cut foam wing.
With my Over the Hill/5 gallons+/O.S.15FP, it is one of the best flying planes I have flown. I use it with my fellow Humber Hawks to practice our combat skills trying to beat the dreaded Cobble Hills gang at Scale Combat.
The 'East End' Toronto gang are having a great time with them.

My 'Caution' (I call it 'Intersection Ahead' !) has the std. 40in span/8.5in chord and is under 2.5lbs.

Last I heard Richard is cutting up more semi-kits for this season. I want another one.

I've flown allot of S.M.A.L.L.(.25 and under) planes and although I love flying scale combat, a nice light .10/.15 plane is a 'Joy' to fly.

Do not knock Coro/Spads. I still try to !
I'm a DieHard balsa/foam builder and I am amazed that the CoroArtists can even beat/stay even with me, and my 'traditional' building methods.

But that is just me... ! HeHeHe

Take care,
Have fun,
