Is there some one out there in Canada that can check my crank for straight. It is a 40cc chainsaw conversion.I had less than a perfect landing and would like it checked before I put it back in an airplane.
Thanks Ted

Re: Straighten crank

Any good Machine shop in your area can check and straighten the shaft.

Re: Straighten crank

ted.if you have access to a dial indicater or know someone who has one.you can check it yourself.just pull the prop off and set up the dial indicator on the end of the shaft, adjust the dial indicator so it sit,s lightly on the outside egde of the crank.you spin the crank slowly and watch the indicator on the dial to see how much runout you have on the end of your crank.you shouldn,t have probably no more than two thousandth,s of an inch runout.you can also take it to a small engine shop and have them check it out for you.hope this helps.
