Re: DA 85 Shredder!

I've been reading on a few forums how the DA85 has a reputation for vibration and how the Evolution/MVVS 80 has a reputation for heaviness. I'm starting to think that the extra mass from the bigger, beefier cast crankase on the Evolution/MVVS engines actually dampens the vibration and may well be a good reason to carry the extra weight.

Re: DA 85 Shredder!

My thoughts

There is such a thing as to light in airframes and engines.

Weight reduction has reared it's ugly head in many many ARFs.Airframes twisting in the air in manoeuvers, firewalls falling off and on and on and on

Talk to anyone who has an engine with more weight, third bearing etc. etc. etc. and they will all tell you the same thing..smooooooooth

Nice to have a light setup, but people get ---- over a few ounces in both. It's like the great oil debate and will never change
Movin' on up to the top-shelf..3W!!!
