As far as my wife is concerned, I only have one plane. "I am storring the other planes for my buddies" I am such a good guy that I even bring them to the field for them to fly.

Bahaha... good one Bob! I'd try that one, except my field is behind the house

The XT40 is a great all around plane. It was my first glow plane, did my wings flight with it on its maiden (learned on electrics). Tracks extremely well, will do all normal aerobatics, knife edges very well, can fly very fast (did 230 km/h gps verified downwind in a shallow dive ) and also fly very slowly and gently. Its very confidence building, has a "classic" feel as has been mentioned.

I fly mine on floats (looks like the Schneider Trophy racers!) with an OS 60 2s.

Get the Plug and Play version...can't put an arf together for that price unless you have all the gear already. But...reinforce the landing gear mount on the fuse...blows out very easily (problem with most H9 arfs...have had them all, Funtana, Showtime, Twist, Tango etc.)

I'm on my third XT40...its a keeper.

Ray, Oakville.

Very mild mannered, flies on a rail type plane. If you get bored with it, cut the outer wing panels off, in other words shorten up the wingspan by that much. Cut the balsa out of the fibreglass tip and glue it onto the new end. Makes it a much more agile ship for aerobatics but doesn't lose its smooth flying characteristics. Still a pussycat to land. Mine was electrified.
Tried for my kamikazi pilots licence. Flunked the test.
