White Gas- time for a camp out

I have been reading lately about people using white gas or Naphtha in small engines. So I was wondering if there is an advantage or will it blow up my DL and I have a smaller 26er as well. I know you still have to mix oil with it but has anybody heard of that. Or is a old Wives tale. I know that Naphtha suppose to have a higher octane but if my engine does not require it do to the compression ratio will I gain anything?

More research required!
If you take away the voices within my head I shall be left in this world with out friends.

Here's an article about "the world's smallest gas engine" with a displacement of .0075 ci. Purty dam small.

and he's running it on white gas with marvel mystery oil at 50:1. I'd hazard a guess that it wouldn't be a problem for you either.

Some helicopter guys are running camper fuel. It is mainly to get away from the smell of gas. Unless you store your plane in the house, that should not be a problem. The camper fuel actually has a lower octane rating, somewhere in the 60's. If I remember correctly it's 68. Not a problem with lower compression but why risk it.
