Ben, sorry for posting in your thread about his gyro tray but I figure he's subscribed to this thread and will see the request.
Cougar429, I'm about to mount my 401 gyro on my trex 450sa, and have read it's much safer to mount it under the tail boom. I like how yours sits upright. That's what I was hoping for, mainly so I could see the led light easily and know the 401 had initialized properly. Would it be possible for some details on the gyro shelf you made. I was going to have you pm me, but I got believe I'm not the only one that would be very interested on the details of your gyro shelf.

Thanks for the compliments I was actually hoping to get a video posted very shortly, but it can be hard to get my videographer (wife!) to sit through a whole 5-minute flight!

Cougar, thanks for your post about putting the gyro under the tailboom. I actually didn't know that zip-tieing it in place was a bad idea. Feel free to answer Dave's questions in this thread, we're all here to learn!
