Does anyone know if there is a BVM conversion kit to electric for the old fan units?

Re: BVM Fan units

Hobby Lobby sells the "L'il Screamers" electric motor brand, and L'il Screamers makes a motor that runs in a Dynamax set-up, not sure if they are producing them yet or not but its coming.
Check out hobby lobby's web sight.

Re: BVM Fan units

The giant "little screamers/xps" motor does not exist yet...
This is one of those questions that has a really easy answer...just call up BVM and ask to speak to Sparky, and he will tell you all you need to know, no guesswork. I do not know if they sell a conversion kit, but probably, most parts for BVM anything are available. They are really, really good about customer service, and will give you straight answers about what will work or will not, and you can be absolutely certain that you would not be the only guy to have called in with the exact same question.
The guys at BVM tested all sorts of stuff, different motors and setups, before they sold any of their e-conversions, they fly the living hell out of this stuff, and get really reliable, consistent performance.
Yes, I sell high performance EDF motors. No, I am not looking to sell you one. As a matter of fact, I am steering you towards a rival company, because I feel like they would be the best place to go if you want guaranteed success.
The learning curve with this kind of thing can be expensive, very easy to toast a $350 motor or controller experimenting, and you are lucky, in that Uncle Bob has done that homework for you already. Yeah, his stuff costs, but it also WORKS...
Good luck with your project.

Re: BVM Fan units

Thanks easytiger I will call him and ask him some questions. I guess that would be a safe way of doing it.
