Hey guys , Im having trouble with the pro 50 getting hot, too hot to touch the backplate Im running cool power 20% with the main 3 turns out and the low at 2.5. the heli keeps getting hotter and hotter as I fly. The low end stumbles its so rich and there is good smoke on full collective climbs, but you can watch the smoke change color after about 2 minutes from white to blue.Im running 1700 rpm with a rev limiter.

These are the things that I have done

changed all fuel lines(clunk too)
Tried a extra washer under the glow plug os#8
did the low needle mod

Any Ideas would be great, Thanks Rod

Re: Trouble with pro 50h

Open the main needle more, say 3/4 turn more, then lean the low end enough so it idles and transistions. Put or stretch some fuel tubing (a short piece) around the needle and needle holder as the ratchet clip may not ingage well. It also seals that area better.

Re: Trouble with pro 50h

On closer inspection a glow plug came apart and lightly scored the piston, im sure that wasn't the main issue.

So I installed a redline and smoothie pipe, wow it runs!! Nice and cool and lots of power. Problem solved
