Diagrams attached. The inbound magnetic course is 057 Magnetic (LOC, ILS, RNAV, etc...), which is 047 True (Google Earth displays True headings only).

From the Google Earth screen capture, you can see that the intersection of Derry & Hurontario is 4.56km (2.5NM) and right on the magnetic track of 057 (047 deg true) to runway 05.

I trust this will clarify any doubt.

Nice work. You win. Like I said, I should have read the YYZ C.A.P. since I don't know a thing about toronto and the surrounding area.

Re: Flying close to airports...

So, it looks like you're within the control zone for Person, which means that you need to get their permission to fly.

Of course, this is also based on the assumption that you are a MAAC member and are following the Safety Code.

Basically, if you fly at work, you WILL be operating outside of the Safety Code and directions from the insurer on coverage.

READ: COMPLETELY AT YOUR OWN RISK and is not recommended.

The Mississauga and Brampton/Bramalea clubs are within a short drive of your location. Become a member if you are not already one and fly at a registered field.

I know 5km's is in the grey area range, but for flying something like a flatana, what does anyone think? I probably wouldn't get more than 100ft up with it, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Personally, I don't see any potential issues with it at all but I might be overlooking something?

Thoughts, suggestions?
What frequency are you on?
