So I was out flying my FW 190, everything was working normal and it was flying good. After one of my full throttle passes, there was a big bang and the engine suddenly departed the aircraft which then kind of mushed down. Not to much I could do when 2 lbs left the nose of the plane. The plane isn't to badly damaged but I was wondering what caused it.

The engine was about 50ft away from the airframe. One propeller blade wasn't found and the spinner was broken. The wooden beam mounts broke.

Have a look at the pictures. I am pretty sure it threw a blade in the air and then the huge imbalance at full throttle caused the mounts to break. I'm just glad it didn't hit anyone.

Re: Crash

Sorry for your loss. Big bangs are often heard just before bad things happen, that's why everyone ducks when they hear a big bang.
Fly or fly not! There is no try.
