Hello to all you old timer lover, my son Ryan & sister Colleen (aka Fuzzy) were out to my place last week-end (father's day) and after dinner I got my Lanzo Bomber out to fly in the back yard,my son wanted to try so I give him the TX,he flew till it ran out of fuel then handed me the TX. We did this for three flight's, on the forth flight I started the motor and handed him the TX ,he took off ,flew for 13 min's ,ran out of fuel then stay up for 3 min's then landed (dead stick )Ryan is 23 yrs old ,he flew maybe 2 flight when he was about 11. I could not belive that he could do that with out me taking the TX from him once. I think more people should be learning on an old timer type plane as they fly so slow and give the pliot more time to control the plane. Brad "Maddog" Metcalf

Hey That is great, now you can hope that this has turned on his juices or however you want to call it and he stays at RC and finds the joy in it as the old Maddog has.

Re: Lanzo Bomber Has new Pliot

Hey Brad that's great Personally I would like to see everyone on here pick an oldtimer design and build it. Then once a year we could all get together for a weekend to fly and lie
Lets get out this week one evening at my field if you can make it.

Cool Re: Lanzo Bomber Has new Pliot

Hey Billy ,great idea, let pick a date (sat /sun) and we can all get up and have a slow race! hahahaha I mean bark bark bark bark, it could be a start to an old beginng. I'll try my best and be there! I gave the Bomber a "nose job" I move the motor and gear ahead 4" and threw away 7 oz of wt, also put a little more "down thrush" on the motor, fly's better. catahs ya later. Maddog
