Canada Post is the only way to go if possible.
The UPS scam is .. the fees are paid to their wholey owned brokerage company and in most cases duty and customs charges have very little to do with it. Quite the deal if you can do it.

I'm one of those out there that HATES UPS. When ever I absolutly have get an item shipped via UPS...I do as one of there drivers told me...DECLINE THE SHIPMENT!!! then if your close enough clear it through customs yourself. I have saved many dollars this way. I go to UPS(where my item is)and get my paper work from them, I cross the road then clear it myself MOST TIMES NOT PAYING DUTY!!!!! UPS just takes ALL their papers every day and charge the totals to this brokerage fee of theirs. What a scam!

Re: UPS tell me there's another way!

UPS definitely specializes at sticking it in and breaking it off. I threw them out as a carrier for my business years ago because of B.S. just like this.

I am throughly convinced they screw-up shipments and billing ON PURPOSE! Then, when you try to solve it with them, they make the process so infuriating and so time consumming that most people give up and just pay the overcharges.

As I said before I am convinced this is by design. However, UPS has done one thing right. They could have not picked a more appropriate corporate colour to represent the quality of their service.

Take the advise of others on this post and go with Canada Post. Tons cheaper and tons better service and you get to keep all your hair.
If it wasn't for the last minute nothing would get done!
