Question Any fields near Hamilton?

Remove this ad - become a site supporter!

I'm off to McMaster University in September for university and I have a few questions.

Is there any flying fields near or in Hamilton?
Do you think they will allow nitro fuel in the dorms? (only bringing a gallon or two)

Re: Any fields near Hamilton?

From MAC, the west end of town, the closest field is probably the King Rd. field of the Burlington Club.

Re: Any fields near Hamilton?

What the Residence doesn't know won't hurt them. I had a plane in my dorm for 2 years in North Bay, fuel and all. They didn't even know I had it.

Smile Re: Any fields near Hamilton?

burlington field is defenatly the closest but one of the most expensive. I live in downtown hamilton and I goto the Stoney Creek Hawks Club located on stoneycreek mountain. The guys are great and the field is wonderful but it does take approx 25 mins to drive there but well worth it!!!

Check out our website at and goto the photos section it will show all the great times.

Re: Any fields near Hamilton?

Keep in mind Burlington has two locations. One @ King road. One in Bronte Provincal park. King road has a paved runway, sun shelter, building with power so HEATED in winter and outlets for charging off A/C so no lugging heavy batteries for the electric guys. We welcome Heli's and maintain a seperate spot for hover work plus are cool with 3D, a control line circle is also there for the spinny guys. Almost forgot, the parking lot belongs to the city and as it's located in a park is plowed/salted/sanded (fast) as required over winter. Also the drive is all Highway/service rd. with a short sprint up King rd.
