Question Anyone use a RCV90-SP??

Was thinking of putting this engine into my TF Corsair, and was wondering if anyone can tell what they think of this engine? What is the type of aircraft and how does it preform in it?

Thanks Geoff

Re: Anyone use a RCV90-SP??

I have a RCV58CD, no reduction drive. I have several flights on it and really like it. Because it is rotary valve you do not have to worry about floating the valves. As a trial I propped it like a .46, 11 X 6 prop and it turned over 13,000 on 15% fuel. It does not run well on 5% or 10% fuel. It has lots of power and is very smooth with an excellent idle. You can prop the engine to suit the application and not worry about the engine. They take a long time to break in. Do not be scared to get out of the "OS RUT".

I've got one ready to go in my TF Corsair (which is not ready yet). It is broken in and plan on getting it going on a 1/4 scale Tiger Moth (sans cowl) within the next week or 3 (depending on whether I'm able to get some parts measurements). With an 18x12 apc it should haul nice.
