Re: Commercial Liability and collusion Insurance ???

Step One: put together a concise description of the business, showing current equipment usage and planned activities. In addition, specify what you want in terms of liability insurance. I don't think that "COLLISION" insurance is what you need, that refers to auto insurance. Use the MAAC coverage statement as a basis. You may want to use the terms "aerial survey" and "remotely piloted vehicle", since this closely matches what you'll be doing.
Step Two: check the or your local insurance broker and see who handles commercial liability insurance.
Step Three: brace yourself for an inquisition, full body cavity search and a quotation that makes you think that you're covering a Space Shuttle launch.

BTW, as you said that you plan on doing this as a business, remember that you'll be operating outside of what MAAC will cover and that you'll not be flying a "model airplane" but a "remotely piloted vehicle" which comes under Department of Transport rules and regulations.

Essentialy, you can't claim that it's a model airplane and then run it as a business. The rules from DOT and MAAC make it mutually exclusive.

Also, I suspect that your household insurance coverage won't be sufficient for this even if the company will cover model aircraft (commercial business, RPV, and all that fun stuff once again.)
