Re: Hitec Spectra 2.4

Have one in hand. Not using it since I just picked it up in Washington state today and won't be able to use it for a few days at least.
The module and antenna look good. The 2 receivers that came with it are quite small. For standard glow etc. or 400 size electric should be good.
$129US shipped for a module and 2 7ch receivers.

One thing about 2 modes, scan and normal. I thought normal would use the results of a scan at the location but according to the manual "normal" op means using the factory default band channels (don't know how many channels it spans, 20, 40).
If the power is lost at the TX in scan mode it will not reconnect. Different than my XPS where I can turn the power off and on and it will go to failsafe if set and will relink in second or so or less.

They do say "normal" mode is best 90% of the time and in that mode it will relink.

Can't say how it actually works but I've seen a few people say it's a great system and it does look good to me. Hitec wouldn't release junk, right?
