Okay just got a good deal on the eflite super airliner. I have never flown a ducted fan but have flown big planes for years.

question i have is one of the fans blades is cracked and i dont want to chance using it so instead of using the stock blades i was going to try and find a different blade/rotor. onlky thing is i can't find any place that sells 66mm rotors.

can anybody give me some links to places you go for parts for EDF's

thanks in advance

Re: Help

well first of all, the fans in the airliner are not that common for use in the EDF scene. we generally use 64, 68/70, 76/80, 86/90. there are others, but that gives you a good idea. that being siad, I think you are stuck with anyone that sells eflite parts and order that fan.

if you wanted to do a conversion, I would go with Sapac 64mm fans/motors.........they are good for the money. I've seen them for as little as 40 bucks (or less) with motor. your cheapest option is just to go to either somewhere that can order you a fan for your existing setup, or go to horizonhobby.com and get one shipped right to your house.................Horizon hobby is the distributor for eflite. hope that helps.

Re: Help

You can take a look at hobbycity.com. They have the best prices and a great selection of ducted fan.

Re: Help

You can buy an entire fan unit WITH motor for the same price as just the fan in Canada/US from HobbyCity.http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...d__252W(4300kv)
