My loss is your gain on this one, I purchased a hollow shaft 2204/54 motor and a Variable Pitch Prop setup for my indoor plane. I assembled it all dry and proceeded with my radio setup, I have set up one of the original VPP's for the larger motor a ways back. Once ready I spun it up, after a few seconds it threw a prop and I was relatively impressed.
The motor itself functions fine with the wobbly prop adapter using the original 2 of 4 threaded holes. When it threw the blade it took the threads out of the smaller threaded hole. The right guy could drill/replace the blade grip bearings and get it going again. Myself, I'm done with the idea!
All parts will be included for the VPP and the brushless motor. The above threaded hole needs to be fixed and the plastic variable pitch ball connector needs to be replaced, again a small job for the right guy could construct a new one!
40.00 bucks shipped!
