feeling a little nostalgic tonight.... it was thirty(thirty!!!) years ago tomorrow that i got my private pilot's licence. i was just eighteen and thought i had the world by the balls back then. went on to get all of my licences all the way up to Airline Transport Rating. cost me just over $45000 and ten years of my life. now the only thing i use my licence for is to rest my beer on...worked for some really crappy operators and gave it up. much happier now, but thirty years went by in the blink of an eye. it ain't over yet, but forgive me for feeling a little blue at the passage of time. not really r/c related, but i thought all my friends on this great forum would understand. thanks, john...

Re: Time Flies (literally)

Hmm things we do or remember that make time seem to have just flown by. My oldest a son celebrated a birthday yesterday Nov 10 he turned 44,it was also the 44th anniversary of the big hydro blackout in Canada and eight eastern seaboard states. I like to think of myself as 63years young
Today a day for remembering, there isn't a handful of men left compared to how many actually fought for our freedom time has taken its tole and taken these survivors away. Most soldiers that where in the war would have been atleast 81 years old this year. Some where a lot older. I thank you
To a tree, balsa wood and MonoKote taste just like chicken!

Thought for the day

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.

If you can't eat it or hump it.

Pee on it and walk away.
